You do not qualify for an economic stimulus payment

According to law, the economic stimulus payment amount that you would otherwise be entitled to receive is reduced by 5% of the amount that your Tax Year 2007 Adjusted Gross Income exceeds $75,000. You would have been eligible for an economic stimulus payment of $300, but your AGI exceeds $75,000 by enough to reduce that amount to zero.

However, if your situation changes during 2008, you may be able to claim an economic stimulus credit on your Tax Year 2008 return.

dude I paid close to the requirement for the ecocknomic stimulus package in taxes... dont feel bad...

This fiscal year is going to be insane. I get goose bumps thinking how much was are going to make just based upon what we already locked in for projects.

BWHAHAHAHHAH

The biggest pro entitlements/social welfare pseudo-socialist on the board whining about his tax return..

oh the karma is beautiful.....

ya you're all fine and dandy with everyone else paying for all those bullshit programs you love so much.. but when its your turn you cry like a bitch LMFAO!!!

People above $75k have a 0% chance of rioting in the streets.

Hence you don't deserve any 'bribing' from the govt!

The $300 anyways is just a deduction. Your real money back is the taxes yo'ud pay on it. Maybe $80 or so. THAT is your payment (something like that, not a lawyer and don't play one on tv!).

i did my taxs just right. getting paid in cash rocks.

Doesn't $75K in a whale's vagina pretty much work out to be $40K just about anywhere else in the country? The cost of living there is steep.

Unfortunately so! Luckily i make a decent chunk above 75K, but I feel like i make around 50-60K when compared to someone who lives in a lower cost of living type area.

Shit, Salt Lake is reasonably inexpensive and I wouldn't be able to live on $60K.
really? I can live on 40K if I needed to. I am pretty frivolous with spending now, and that is after banking 40% of my gross to savings, 401k, investment accounts, etc. I only need a couple grand per month really to live and the rest is gravy!

I have a significant tax bill I've been working on. I hope to be done with it in a year.

^^^ glad to hear u are doin so well bro!
I have modest expectations really. I see homeless people all the time at the beach and I am instantly appreciative that I don't have to worry about where my next meal will come from.

Its sad to see so many homeless

with the market outlook what it is trust me when I tell you...we will be seeing more of them

You eat the homeless?

But see, that money that was going to go to you now goes to someone who makes less money. Which is the philosophy I thought you were all about. Cant be a hypocrit now.

Why are you crying about not getting a measly $600 when you're making over $75,000, attention whore? :)

you all need better accountants.. every $$$ i spend now and in the past 8 years has been well spent, and saved me a lot of cash..

Example.. did you know rather than taking a significant salary, a dividend can be given with a tax burden of 15% in capital gains.. (that's how al gore makes $8 million but only takes a salary of $200 k..

and $64,000 per year can be contributed into a retirement account (self directed) that defers taxes, however that is accessible by you for any number of reasons.

LMAO @ people in high income/high cost of living areas who brag to me about how much money they make every year but have less to show for it than i do. :artist:

peeps that don't invest in their 401K are GD fools. i've been investing 15% of my gross salary in the fed's 401K (thrift savings plan) since day one...will get more from the 401K annuity than from the retirement plan when i take Early Retirement. :artist:

(reply #44 is not directed at Lestat personally; just a general LOL.)

it's good that you are putting in 15% to your 401k, but I assume then that you do not plan on retiring before age 59 1/2, or are you saving money elsewhere to compensate for that.

minimum retirement age for federal employees is 56...but waiting until 59 1/2 gives a much beter ROI....if i can hold off that long... :worried:

When i'm 70, i'll just move to Alaska and sell shit at flea markets on weekends. I don't need no stinkin' 401k. I'm already paying SS as it is.

You dodos can enjoy your big money while living it up at an old folks home. No thanks. :)
