lol at all the responses...sure I may be soft on him, but I figure that he's got time before I take him hunting with only a bowie knife and teach him to skin Bambi alive while it's still screaming...

The only real problem that I've had so far is when he was being 'bullied' in his daycare by some older (I think he was 5) year old kid. Apparently, 'they' don't like it when a father teaches his kid to punch, kick and bite.

my son will be 21 months old tomorrow. . .twice a week we do the same thing. . .out to the backyard and play for a while and before we go back in we walk over to the set of rings hanging from the swingset. . .i grab him by the waist and lift him, he grabs the rings and then hangs for as long as he can. . .i don't even have to tell him anymore, he just does it. . .little sum-bitch is up to one full minute. . .indoctrination. . .toughness is learned behavior. . .
