Refeeding edema is normal during post-Anorexia Nervosa (1).
I'm not sure if there are any Thyroid problems per se, but according to Fisher et al, "Thyroid hormone production tends to be normal, but the peripheral deiodination of thyroxine favors formation of the less metabolically active reduced triiodothyronine (rT3) rather than T3. This metabolic state, known as low T3 syndrome, is characteristic of Anorexia Nervosa but resolves with refeeding." (2)
He is already using AIFM at this time.....unless he has since D/C it without mention.
I'd probably just make an appointment to see the Doc and get you BP and Thyroid checked out so that you know where you stand. Otherwise, just wait it out and see if it resides since it seems to be common (1).
The low BP threw me off as well. I'd have it retested just to be certain though J.
Keep H2o up as well.
Maybe throw in some Dandelion to see if that helps. Also, i'd continue to monitor your sodium intake. Judging fromthe diet though, i've seen much worse from others, and do not really think this is the cause.....who know though.
