You shouldnt have bought an animal that you can't afford. Find another owner if you are going to cut corners. If it is injured, and if it was "bleeding like a pig" then take him to the hospital, before I call PETA on you. As a future tip, the animal will cost more money as the time goes on. It will eat more, require more health visits and etc.

 Quite uncalled for.

Hey Irish,

he's the smartest too. He can sit, wave, lay down, he speaks on command, he babysits the cats and he plays frisbie. That's how he hurt himself. I feel so guilty because I was playing with him when it happened. It's probably my fault because I should have cut his nails shorter. Maybe that guy should call PETA on me.

LawJIgga,

Dude what's up with the hostility? First of all I am not cutting corners. I have spent over 10K on my animals this year alone. If you know anything about animals, when their nails get nicked they bleed like crazy. I am going to call the vet tomorrow. It's Sunday dude, he's not even in. You don't have to be such a jerk. And you can call PETA if you like. They will give me the owner of the year award for rescuing 4 animals off the street.

Flexygrl,

I realize you have spent a lot of money. Accept the truth that you havent spent much, you will spend more, and be quiet. If you can't afford the dog, then give him back to the person you bought it or find someone else who can. Simple as that. The price of health should not be balanced with the cost of money. If you feel you have to make this balance you are unfit as a pet owner. Owning a pet is a huge responsibility flexygrl, and you have fullfill it or find someone else who can. Peple like you that cut corner and bitch about costs, ultimatly abandon the animals to an animal shelters where they die by lethal injection (Financial problems). I use to volunteer at one, so i got to see many of the problems with people like you. While I am happy that you are gogn to take this one to the hospital tomorrow, i am countign the days till you become the negligent abandoned owner, as we called them at the animal shelter. BTW, while this isnt an emergency situation, in every city there is a 24 hour animal hospital or one at least close by. So please dont teach me... Also another thing PETA believes in care-taker responsibility :-) Read their page. Get a pet, take care of it (which you seem reluctant to do), if you can't find someone you CAN.

Reasons to Go:
Infections are quite popular with dogs. While bleeding from their toe nails may be a common occurance, it opens a new door of possibilities.

See, I don't think her point was not to take him due to money reason. I think she wanted to know more along the lines that if it was serious enough to take him.
