I thought he ate a watch battery.
I had to take him to the vet for x-rays cause
he got very sick.
But x-rays came back with nothing showing inside him.


Anyone who has raised a puppy?

I can relate, I just bought a Boxer puppy. Hes 8 weeks old and already weighs 22 lbs (not fat either).

his paws are a little smaller than my fists, the father weighed 98lbs(at a little over 1 yr old) and the mother weighed almost 80 lbs.

My uncles dog would eat everything in site. When he was younger i would babysit my uncles kids and once i bought a pizza and left it on the counter and went out. When i came back he ate the whole pizza but was still using the crust as a toy.

He also licked the electrical socket, got a shock and starting shitting around the house. He would hide his poop behind the television. He would pee on you when you would get all friendly with him, you know start rubbing his stomach and hugging him and he would pee right on you...that dog now weighs like 150 pounds and he's a damn Beagle.

Kinda reminds me of when my best friend got her Lab. She came home and allll the corner's of the kitchen cupboards were chewed down to the raw wood! She was NOT a happy camper!

he ate:
2 VCRs
2 remotes (to the VCRs)
3 pairs of my dad's glasses
1 watch
1 crystal bowl (and all the fruit that it was holding)
1 jar of honey (meaning all the honey and the broken glass from him knocking it to the floor)
any razor he could get
socks
at least one feather pillow.
a ziploc bag and its contents (which were a bunch of nuts and bolts)
underwear
he LOVES (still) Guiness
he also LOVES Canadian goose poop, and cat poop.
toohbrushes
shoes
a football
he tried for months to kill a basketball, but it just never worked out
he killed about 15 stuffed animals, usually bunnies.

now he mostly just steals shoes if he wants attention, but he is gentle and won't do anything to them unless he is really pissed off.

for about 3 months it was a great trick he would do. he would steal my dad's wallet while we were sitting at dinner, then he would eat the credit cards and bills in there.
also he would eat any change he could get.
then later that night or even later that week he would come up at you with this look on his face and then lean on your leg and cough up money into you lap.

I believe you have to beat the chewing shit syndrome out of him with a newspaper! My GF didn't follow this advice & now we've got a fucking 105lb German Sheppard running around our house eating all kinds of shit & he's over 2yrs old. Someday I'm going to kill that dog, I hate the bastard. I've tried leaving the gate open in the back but, he just goes outside of the fence & walks around the other side. My dog on the other hand, I beat her ass when she was a pup for things like that & she's the best dog I've ever had.

pamela, i dont think any of these dogs just stopped eating things... i'm guessing the owners helped them out of it... yell, startle him... spray some bitter apple on something he likes to eat but shouldnt... let him know what he can and cannot eat... if he has a shoe, take it... yell... give him a chew toy...good doggy.

A good way to prevent him from eating everything is to sprinkle tabasco sauce on everything in your house and yard. Just buy one of those pressurized canister that you pump and spray. Fill it with tabasco sauce (should take about 80 bottles), and then spray away. He'll stop doing it really quickly.

Make sure that he has something to chew up that is HIS such as a dog toy at ALL TIMES...

Let a few lay around in various rooms..

If he chews on something, take it away or remove him from the area and Immediatly give him one of his toys and pet reward tell him good boy when he takes it..

Teach him to chew on HIS stuff not yours as early as possible other wise it will be a long painfull few years of chewing up your stuff when he is alone..
