This piece of shit called the fire department, police and city on me for acid washing my driveway. They all showed up at my doorstep at once. I thought I was being raided or something. After taking to them they told me it was my neighbor that turned me in. This piece of shit is a "handyman" and he even did a lot of work at house, which I paid him under the table. He's upset that I used another guy for other jobs at my house since the other guy's labor rates are much cheaper so the bastard turned me in. I was so pissed off here's the email I sent him:
Rick,
I was pretty blown away to learn from Fire Department today that you were the “informant” as they put it behind the incident today with the police. What really strikes me as odd is that just the other day you were acid washing your own driveway according to Sam. I’m not really sure what compelled you to call the police and the Fire Department, which resulted in nothing more than a “courtesy notice” but now that I am involved in this little conflict you seem to have with Sam, I will respond accordingly.
Please be advised that my accountant will be notified to1099 you for all the work done at my house. I have all the cancelled checks and the invoices from you that will be provided to both my accountant and the IRS. I will also be calling the city to make sure you have contractors license for the work you are doing across the street. Heaven forbid Al Campbell from City of Irvine just happens to do a “drive by” just to check things out and make sure everything is being done in accordance to code with all the proper licenses and city documents.
The Irvine Police Department will also be notified that you do not have a business license to operate in the city of Irvine. Please see below.
Municipal Code Section 4-6-207 states, "It shall be unlawful for any person to transact or carry on any business activity, trade, profession, calling or occupation in the City without first having procured a license from this City to do so or without complying with any and all applicable provisions of this chapter." Section 4-6-201 states, "A business licenses is hereby required by this chapter for any business activity conducted in this City..." And finally, Section 4-6-202 addresses the definition of a "business" as, "Professions, trades, and occupations of each and every kind operating under the same single entity carried on for profit or livelihood, including all domestic and foreign corporations, associations, syndicates, joint stock corporations, partnerships of every kind. clubs, businesses, trusts, societies and individuals transacting or carrying on any business or to provide for and maintain a place or base of support or operations for such activities in the City other than as an employee..."
Below is Cynthia’s contact information from the Irvine Police Department should you decide to comply with the city ordinance and get your business license. Of course, there is an annual fee and back charges that may for the years you’ve operating without a business license.
