I think a lot of people don't take into account the fact that your liver is one of the only organs you have that can repair itself. If nothing else this is interesting information because that is a lot of drugs and for your liver to be fine is very intriguing.
blood test will tell you you have a normally functioning liver
so its repaired?
its not that eazy blood work is not going to tell you if your liver has lumps or hard density in certian areas from the damage.
a ultra sound or ct scan must be performed to see the dense areas from the damage of the drugs.
A heavy drinker can stop drinking get blood work done years later that shows the liver is working correct
But the ultra sound or ct scan will reveal a liver with dense hardened areas that will never be 100% repaired back to normal.Yet the blood works shows a normal liver
I bet if you went to the doctor musclehealth and had a ultra sound done
your doctor will see swelling or damage to the liver .Swelling goes down but those dense little hard spots never go away.
How do I know am I a doctor?
No
I am in the same boat as you a steroid user that appears to have a perfect fucntioning liver from reading blood work
But now has two small dense lumps in his liver very small but they are still their.(revealed by a doctor while ct scanned for truama after a car wreck i was in)
Just like when you get a cut on your hand or leg its heals up and appears to go away .Then you look real close and can see the scar. That what happens to the liver its heals itself up but leaves behind what is a scar a dense area that no longer works
not to put a damper on your parade
but please be smarter then I was
I always assumed great blood work ment everything was ok
and no need two worry.
I stayed on orals way to long.
Now I'll prob never use them agian becuase of the two dense areas that might one day form into cancer .
but my blood work is 100% normal imagine that.
