My good friend's son... What would you do?

The child is almost five, and his sister is seven, and his sister does not enjoy playing with his toys, rather when they play together whether the sister predominates and conditioned her younger brother, the games they play I'm inferring are games that involve dolls, family games, but again I'm hypothesizing games that revolve more around interconnection rather than function which are more masculine, such as race cars or GI Joe, so the boy may be merely a very empathic child due to being with this sister so much... I mean my friend is stereotypically the all american bro, so it will be a change, but inside underneath the role he has played, he is so virtuous, that I know this change in world view will be easier than I had previously anticipated now that I am reflecting on it.

When they are only five, they pretty much will play the games and with toys introduced to them. sounds like he just plays the games his sister shows him.

It doesn't make him any less of a man or a decent human being if he's gay. It makes him less of a man and a decent human being if he's a SISSY though...at least in my books.

Interesting question to ponder, for those of you who would be disappointed if you had a geigh son:

What if you had a gay son who was an absolute killer on the football field, or was a hard-hitting defenseman who opposing forwards were scared to go into the corners with at the rink?

Now, imagine a straight son who's a total wuss...cried every time you tried to put him into a contact sport. Wants nothing to do with the gym, because he's too busy practicing tuba for the school band.

Which one is the disappointment now?

And what if he grew up to be THE tuba player for the New York Philharmonic (i.e. the number 1 symphony in the world) and you were able to walk your friends into any Barnes & Noble or music store and pick up any one of the dozens of CD's he would have played on. How disappointed would you be then? I wouldn't be disappointed in the least. Lotsa guys want nothing to do with the gym or the gridiron and it's ok.

If I had a kid, I'd feel more pride if he have more in common with guys like Brian Urlacher and Dion Phaneuf than a guy like John Stamos....jus' sayin'

meh. . .me too. . .that's the way i was raised (kinda like the d00d's kid in this thread whose being mostly influenced by his sister because that's who he spends most of his time playing with. . .i grew up going to penn state games and nascar races and i was encouraged to participate i sports so that's what i ended up being interested in). . .that said, stamos gets more ass in a month than most of those other d00ds will ever see. . .his life doesn't seem so bad. . .

ummmmm...neither one is a disappointment.

I really would be proud if my son liked to play music, play sports, was straight, was gay,etc.
