My first log (5x5) and background info if anyone cares

spankymach, are you using chalk? It makes a big difference for some people (myself included). Others seem to keep dry hands.
 
havent used anything yet. i am going to see how my grip is next week and bring my straps JUST IN CASE. and if i use them i am going to buy some chalk for the next week after that
 
thanks. i just got one of those scales that the drs have in their offices so i can finally keep track of my weight (got it for free from my moms job). i will weigh myself in the morning so i am on am empty stomach. but i just found the most depressing thing out. i always listened to what the drs tell me when i get my check ups and never 2nd guessed them. but i measured my height today. 5'7 1/2". that sucks lol. i even measured myself standing against a wall and drew a line. either i lost 2 inches or drs are full of shit lol.

you really have to work on grip - 285 is very low to stall and need straps. try chalk as AB said also try overhand till it fails then switch to under/over like enigma mentioned. or just learn a hook grip - fingers wrap around thumbs.

125x5, 155x5, 185x5, 215x5, 255x3, 185x8

Bench-
115x5, 145x5, 175x5, 205x5, 235x3, 175x5

Rows-
75x5, 85x5, 100x5, 125x5, 155x3, 105x8

Weighed myself this morning. 201lbs on an empty stomach.
 
Week 5
Day 1

Squats-
130x5, 160x5, 195x5, 225x5, 265x5

Bench-
120x5, 145x5, 175x5, 205x5, 235x5

Rows-
85x5, 100x5, 115x5, 135x5, 155x5

everything is still going up smooth but i have to adjust my diet BADLY. i am putting on a little to much fat and its getting anoying bc i am only eating about 3300 cals a day so i dont know how i can be eating to many cals to be putting on this much fat. i think i have to aim for 2600 for my BULK which makes no sense to me. anyone care to shead some light for me?
