my first hard squat day

i almost didnt go to the gym tonight. it was either today was rest, or tommorow was rest. i didt eat much breakfast, lunch was a joke, and i haddnt eaten dinner yet. i felt like shit from a bad diet. but, i decided to haul my ass in there for some squats and deads.

turns out i must have been feeling pretty good. i got a nice 5x5, ass to floor, of 160 pounds!! now, i know thats really really small potatoes for most everyone here, but shit, this is my first time training legs in my life, and i still weigh 140 on heavy days. i kept good form, went down as far as i could without hitting quads on chest, and exploded outta the pocket. i was hurtin by the end, but i could have done a couple more reps i bet. now i feel that 5 pounds per workout is totally doable as long a i keep a good diet.

FUCK YEAH!! this is the start of a beautiful friendship. i want 225 5x5 in 16 workouts or less.
 
dont be embarassed about your weights..keep squatting like that and you will see results..most people do not walk inot a gym and squat 500 unless thay are extremely gifted..just keep doing what youre doing!!!!

I know how it is going into the gym anyway on a day you think you shouldn't and having a better workout than most days... strange but true.

Remember that my first squat workout was me missing a full squat with the empty Smith Machine bar that weighed 60 pounds.

you said it. ive been keeping track of the percentage of my weight i am squatting. when i hit 225, i dont want to weigh more than 155 or 150. if i could still weigh 140 it would be awesome, but i have no fat to lose, and only muscle to gain at this point.
