The man's grandbabies were in the house with him, he had a Harley in the garage, he stood there and watched it burn, as it burned up he turned to me, pointed at his 4 year old granddaughters and said that's what is important, that's what I'm happy got saved, everything else can be replaced.

cool story...glad the dog made it..it helps and obviously glad the entire family made it out..its a terrifying experience because it moves so fast and more or less quietly besides the snapping and popping and dull roar. Its hard to judge how close it is.

That's one thing I try to avoid saying. Because to me its just stuff, but to them, its exactly what you're saying, all their babies "firsts", wedding pictures, pictures of childhoods they will never see again. I really wouldn't want someone to say that to me.
