Well it has been quite awhile since I had seen her or even talked to her but she came by tonight, thinking I wasn't going to be home to leave me her key and the ring I gave her.. She cried and I felt bad and it definately brought back some feelings but I feel a lot better now. We decided to stay friends but not really friends that stay in touch, I guess you can say not really friends.. I've never posted pics of her or me but I figure why the hell not?

I've had it somewhere around 8 years. Like you, I don't want to sell it because I wouldn't get squat close to what I paid unless I sell it directly to some poor smuck looking to get engaged.

The place I bought it offered full price return for it as long as I bought a new ring worth double the amount of the current ring. I was holding on to it for that reason, but my current GF doesn't even want a diamond ring should we ever get married so I don't know what to do with it.

Maybe make it into some nice earrings or something. It has 5 diamonds so that is a possibility.
 
She came by for a goodbye fuck. She was willing to cough up the ring for it. Good on ya for not being her ho. Closure's good and it would have made things worse.

Trade the rings in when getting a new one. If you got good ones you'll recover most of the $. The higher the quality the easier it is for them to flip 'em, the more you'll get.
