My dealersships are off in revenue ! Whos elses industry is suffering?

For some reason it seems distasteful to me. And I have no idea why.

I'm normally long-term. Maybe it's the idea of buying something you know you'll sell quickly. Its definitely an emotional response. Being the capitalist pig I am it shouldn't bother me one iota.

Especially when back in the day my partner and I were pulling in an average of $40k a house. Some we made over $180k, rare but there were one every 5 or 6. It was too much fun. And we took real shitty houses and made them nice. Not just some paint and cleaning the carpet. We would make it a real home! And that made it not so bad. The toughest part was getting the bank to understand we could come in and blow out a house in 3-5 weeks and have it on the market and in escrow in 6-8 weeks making that much money. Appraisers knew what we were putting into the house so the appraisel wasn't a problem. These houses were bad no one would touch them. That is why we could get them so cheap. The banks would drop the asking price because they were so discusting. I can't believe a bank rep. would even walk into some of them. Doppers crapped in the sinks when the water was shut off. Just dirty! We never took any before/after pics because of liability. But it was fun!

Oh I think its a great thing. As a matter of fact, being a pure capitalist pig I realize it's not my place to say if it's a good or bad thing anyway!

You were probably helping people gain access to reasonable housing and doing an overall service to the economy.

Exactly!

My industry is dumb shits that don't know how to use a computer; never a shortage of those. My company does executive search in casino gaming, travel industry, health care and food & beverage.

odd?
12 foot cawk alert?

Odd that car fucking sales are down???????????????????
Where do you even get off saying that to arabian?
Memo to your arrogant or lying ass
people ain't buying cars
even toyota sales have been down

my store has been voted "best of the best" in a four town radius for the last 11 years, and business has been meh for the past 3 .

Dicksizers like you make someone like arabian question themselves and their business practices
it tears at one soul

this is like a mortgage consultant or real estate agent saying "things are great!"

better wipe some of that dung off your keyboard, it's kinda unsanitary.

lol

MSNBC last night
Honda, Nissan, and toyota are all down 40% since julys #s

Hold tight Arabian, things are bad most places. My wife works at a high end womens fashion store and they are closing other locations and have been for the past year.
Distributors in the flooring business are going under, two huge ones in my area have just in this last year.
Car dealerships are closing too (mostly dodge)

the only one doing well is miplank
:faint:

The last 2 months for me werent great.

This month is shaping out to be very good though.

Theres always ways to make money in the market.

My industry is Diagnostics/Pharmaceuticals - we're growing like crazy. There's no ceiling.

I have a friend that's a sales manager for a Chevy/Cadillac store in New Orleans....says business "is UNBELIEVEABLE". I got to thinking about that and realized he meant that it was that bad!

Wow! Do they just build the financing gap into the price of the car?

I learned something. Thanks for the knowledge.

Yes, this is why it is important to maintain good credit.. Lets take a look at this scenario Plunky. The client comes in and purchases a vehicle at 14% now if he keeps the note 6 months usually he can refy and get below 10% however what normally happens is these individuals miss payments or are late so are not able to refy causing the whole (negative equity scenario to increase)sound familiar to the housing industry? This is the whole reason this country is in the shape its in is due to people living beyond their means.
