- 100g cottage cheese, 2Tbs natural yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, 1tbps flax, 1 tbpn LSA, p/husk

m1; almonds, 1/2 apple (optional protein powder)

m2; chicken/turkey/tuna salad w olive oil

m3; almonds/turkey slices/ 30gs low fat cheese

m4; salmon +veg

m5; 100g cottage cheese

does this look ok?

WHat are your goals?

You already sound quite small - 114lbs at 5' 5.5" ..... I cannot IMAGINE you are trying to lose fat .... I am not sure there is anything to lose......

Hell, I am 5'4" and about 30lbs HEAVIER than you ...... !!!!!!

Sounds like you need to gain some muscle - which you won't do on the diet you laid out. Plus, you would need some weight training.

BUT, that is all moot until you answer the Q ..... WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS! :)

yes..im wanting to get firmer...but have trained seriously for past 3yrs and feel like i need a break. i think i have high bf% (compared to what i used be) especially round hips - i have hour glass figure. I find pilates good for core strengthening, and woukld like to break from weights for 2mths to gain good stability strength...then get back into weights.
I put on weight from looking at carbs..so i stick to this type of routine, but any suggestions would be great

The diet actually looks pretty good. What I would first suggest is that you put it into a food counts program like www.fitday.com -- this will tell you really what you are eating. Are you actually getting enough protein to build muscle? And also the low-carb thing, a la Atkins, is not somethign you can really build muscle on and it isn't a good long term strategy anyway. At the very least you need to do carb-ups. If you continue long term at 50 g or less of carbs per day, you may be conditioning your body to run on that, and if your body also is not getting enough fuel to run, then it is going to slow down metabolism because it thinks it is in starvation mode (e.g. living during a famine) to preserve the fuel resources it has. And then it may turn to the muscle you have and start catabolizing that. Then you get "skinny fat".

For reference on some good diet & trainign strategies, check the threads at the top of the board, particularly Shadow's PRoject & Project Summary.

ye i know all that about starvation mode..but i dont think this is atkins. I am addicted to fitday..so i know roughly my cals are around 1200, carbs 20%, with fat and protein being around 40%.
is it possible to firm up with pilates and low carb?

agreed...but after 2mths of pilates x2 p/w i should have a strong core - so when i go back to weights ide be able to lift better and perhaps more
