I am giving all the techs a min of $400 and my Directors and PM's $1000 to $1500. The problem is the owner sets my bonus so who the hell knows what I will receive. I guess it depends how much her pound of weed cost her this month.
I understand why my boss got us what he did. Each gift only cost a couple of bucks and was more of a token of appreciation. He's not responsible for the bonuses, the company is. But if you're going to the trouble of giving out expensive gifts, why not just give the money instead of crap no one wants.

Can you, pull, splice, and terminate Fiber Optic Cable. If so, you have a job. I have no idea how to do those things, but then again I do not have to. I am management.

I work for TeamHealth, what I do is place specialty doctors (radiologists, cardiologists, nuclear med, ER docs, ) into hospitals.
TeamHealth has a nationwide directory of doctors and for instance, like Jan 3rd, I have to go to Orlando for a hospital that may want 12-14 doctors placed in. I will look up in our database and see who is available and wants to work in Orlando, what their salary is, what their expertise is, etc... then I make a business model of what it will cost this hospital to keep these doctors for 2-3or4 years. I show them the business model, if they like it, I bring the doctors in, if they don't like it and think it costs too much, I go back and find someone with less experience (i.e. meaning less salary) and submit that, if they want more doctors with more experience, then I rework the new (higher) cost and submit that. Once agreed, 60 days later, the doctors start work.
And that's only because my boss saves a bit of money from the budget to buy everyone a cheap little gift. And what a choice of gifts. I wonder what he's telling us about the year to come.
