My bloodwork results

rgjujitsu

New member
dihydrotestosterone 15ng/dl
total test 192ng/dl
free test 56.2pg/mL
IGF-1 155ng/ml
came as a shock. I am 30 years old, lift 3x per week. 6'1 350lbs 27%bf. I haven't done a cycle in 7 years, never went over 750mg/week.
Thoughts?
Prescribed cyp 100mg/week
dhea 50mg/day
Cholesterol was bad, blood pressure bad, basically told me I was pre-diabetic and a high risk for cardiovascular problems. I have to get shit under control.

Yeah, that's what he said! If you knew me, you would never think I am the guy to have low test levels, just shows you can never tell.

Thanks for the honest update bro, good info to share. Good luck and hope all is well soon!

Hey at least you got a prescript for Cyp out of it.

Lose some weight and you'll be fine. Gee... what do you expect at 350lbs and 27% BF???

Azul is right. Most likely your estrogen levels are way too high due to the amount of BF you are carrying. With high estrogen your natural test will be inhibited. That's just an educated guess.

IMO .....

The good news is ... you are a young man who has been shocked into awareness and can fully recover quickly.

Diet:
Meat and veggies! Water and decafs to drink. 2 real eggs in the morning. Real yogart and a few nuts for a desert.. Eat 4-5 times a day.

No sugars, no grains, no fruits and no fats except what is in the meats.

Supplements:
Chewable multi-vit ... nothing else.

Exercise:
Push, legs/abs, Pull, rest .... repeat. Everything 3 x 8, even abs and calves. All you are going to do is tone the body as the water pours out and the fat falls off.

30 mins light aerobics at end of workout .... light. This is just to keep the furnace stoked.

Rest:
Your energy will go way up with this plan. You'll have to take breaks during the day in addition to your sleep at night .. and just RELAX.

Result:
You'll see all your indicators start moving into range, including cholesterol and test.

Only then can you consider doing a cycle.

estrogen levels were really good he said, much lower than he expected.
What do you guys think of ultraglycemx? I am not doing a cycle, I am going on hrt. He has me on pharma grade fish oil pills, blood pressure pills, zone type diet-says I have to wake up insulin receptors. 30 min light cardio 5x per week, and I plan on sticking with my 5x5

it sounds like you have a good doctor

you can see about restoring natural T production once you get your weight and bp down, etc.

i had horrendous bloodwork results after a cycle last winter of test/tren hex/eq. i could not explain away this to my doc so came clean about my steroid use. i always had stupendous vitals in the past.

he recommended we retest one month after cycle and cholesterol, BP, and liver enzymes had almost returned to normal.

this supports the golden rule of time on=time off. you GOTTA let your body recover after a cycle. when i read about guys "always on" i gotta think THEY think they are magically immune to the side effects of steroid use.

When counting on= off. Are you off equally long as cycle length, og PCT too?

8 weeks hormone, 5 weeks PCT=13 weeks off?

Thanx

good question. when i say time on i mean weeks using steroids. i count time off as time i am on PCT.

i could be off in my thinking though. maybe some vets could add something here.

If your LDL is > 130, you should likely be on a statin due to your weight, pre-diabetic condition, and HTN (male as risk factor too). 20 mg simvastatin or 10 mg lipitor (atorvastatin) is a good place to start. No other statins have mortality data.

If you are a smoker, stop now.

Otherwise, you should get your hypertension under control immediately. I would go straight to an ACE-I (ace inhibitor) such as lisinopril, 10 mg qd. Have your OP3 checked before and after starting, as well as a Chem GI.

I would keep an eye on your renal function.

no need for more drugs give the zone diet a chance to work its magic first

Depends on how bad your HTN is. If its > 160/ >100, its very unlikely diet alone is gonna get that back down to where it should be (115/75).

Bro,

cardio, diet, and strength training are going to be your best friends for a while............ at the very least.

If you drink, lay off. Make sure that you consume veggies, quality starchy carbs, and lean protein with every meal. You might consider buying Tom Venuto's e-book BFFM. Worked great for me, and several others on the board.

100mg cyp per week should do fine for HRT purposes. I wouldn't consider "supplementing" your HRT dosage until you lose a significant quantity of bodyfat. Also, give your current condition, you should be able to shed weight at an adequate rate without the use of fat burning OTC supplements.

Cheers, and I hope that do well in your weight loss endeavors.

Once again,

Veggies and not drinking alcohol won't drop your BP 40+ points. Using steroids will INCREASE your BP, even if its HRT.
