My abs protrude out further than my chest

I had a similar problem after a year of some pretty heavy GH use. It has since resolved itself, but I would also agree that you should concentrate on your chest a bit harder to get more size.
 
Its a combination of the volume of food your stomach is used to holding and quite probably some organ enlargement from AAS use-it doesnt have to be from GH. Mentally trying to hold your posture and gut in will only help so much if theres nowhere back for it to go.
 
is there a such thing as a guy havin fat on the other side of his abs. my dad is in his 40's, and has a big beer lookin belly, but his abs are right there with only a thin layer of fat over them. he told me the doc said he had fat between his organs and abs, has anyone heard of that. my abs are starting to look the same slowly.
 
I was talking with a friend in the gym today who's wife is a physical therapist. He told me that most likely it is caused from doing heavy leg press and squats and not stretching the hip flexors afterwards. When the hip flexors are not stretched, they tighten up and change the postion of hips so that the hips rotate forward, causing the abs to protrude outward. After him mentioning this, I thought back to when they started to protrude and it was around the time I started going real heavy on legs ( 365-405 lbs squats for reps of 6-10) He showed me a stretch that really hits the hip flexors.... so I will be trying this as well as lightening up on abs, and building a massive chest!

I have a buddy who is a true mesomorph. We know it when we see it, very wide backs, awesome chests that do the right angle thing like the pros, almost angle down there is so much tissue. He also has the poochy abs you talk of but you can count each and every one of them. Ive noticed that most mesomorphs seem to have this characteristic. He looks awesome and its nothing to worry about. He can suck them in a bit, but when relaxed they pooch a bit. He has never done AAS either. Just a thought.
 
I don't feel they look bad if I am posing, or conscious of my posture, but if I am hanging out with freinds at the beach, or on the boat, if I don't suck my gut in hard, it hangs out on the bottom. Just kind of makes my waist look a lot thicker. I have a wide waist anyhow, when I do oblique work, the sides just blow up and look bad, so I dropped those, maybe I need to drop the ab workout also..... oh how that would suck:rolleyes:

I believe this to be true. Remember your abs are a muscle and training them with weight with cause them to grow. If you want a flat toned stomach do high rep sets and reduce your carb intake alittle.
 
I can see my abs (ok, admittedly only when the light is at the right angle), but I still have a large stomach. I once had a doctor tell me that it was due to intramuscular fat. He called the fat above the ab muscle intermuscular, and said it wasn't nearly as dangerous to your health as the fat you carry intramuscularly. I never did any further research into it, so I don't know if that's true or not. Also, he claimed that with a lot of work, I could eventually lose it. I've never tried cutting down enough to see if that's true or not, but it sounds like there is hope to making it better. I just know because it's the last place I lose fat, it's going to be a lot of work.
 
My dick sticks out farther than my chest and my stomach. hehe. J/K. My abs to stick out a bit as well, but I think for me it's more of an issue of needing to build more size in my chest.
 
Hey this may sound gross but if you are truly not fat then you are probably full of shit. And I mean this literally. A lot of the foods we eat have ingredients that are hard to digest and accumulate along our intestinal walls, building up quite substantially, enough to give someone a protruding gut w/ out the fat. I would recommend seeing a doctor who specializes in the colon. This might sound crazy but you will be much suppressed to the accuracy of this information.

If no doctor, try some form of colon clenz and shit away.
