Muscle milk>???

When would you say the MOST opportune time to take it is?

first thing in the am with oats, and egg whites

in the pm as a preworkout supp

postworkout

before bed?
 
I use it as a meal replacement actually in the middle of the day..... It has a really great blend of fat/protein/carbs.... Postworkout isn't the best idea since it has Fat in it.....

I usually down at least two per day, breakfast and mid day, i usually add a scoop of regular whey to it to make the total 50g protein though....can't beat the taste anywhere!
 
you can take it as many times as you want . and the fat wont matter for post workout because they are all MCT's , and all they do is burn fat. The most important times to take ure protein shake are within 30mins after your workout and right before bed
 
COOL...what's you flav of choice?

Lean bulk - I am gonna toss 1 scoop in my am oats

1 cup oats
1 scoop muslce milk
1 cup egg whites
20-30 rasberries, blueberries, fiber one cereal

and again preworkout
1 scoop muscle milk
1/2 cup oats
1 homemade protein bar
handfull of fiber one cereal.
 
Thanks for reminding me.... I am going to go get some right now. I just bought the premade vanilla shake and it was pretty good.

yep, ultramets are a good meal replacement...probably the best tasting MRP....i like the chocolate....put a tablespoon of natty peanut butter in there!!

also teh strawberry with skim milk and half a bananna
 
Orange cream and chocolate carmel pecan are my two favs. I usually drink 1 in the morning with breakfest, and again before I goto sleep.
 
i called them and they told me mid day and after owrkout. then they recommended a new product not available on the www site (in their print catalog though) pre-workout.

Absolutely agreed. I think it can be ok post workout depending on your goals.

Vanilla are my two favs.

actually, I was going to agree with Prizz here.... I wouldn't take Muscle Milk after a workout because of the fat content... it contains more than just MCT's (for example, canola, sunflower, safflower oils.... I don't believe these are MCT's)... I would take MM for pre-workout and I would take it right before bed.

Would this not depend on your goal though? I have to agree with the MCT's being usful pre workout but say he is cutting and has a limited number of cals per day to work with. Then we would have to nix the bedtime shake and consider the after workout benefits. The small amount of sugars should create an insulin spike (dependant), the protien and carb content is sufficent post workout for many who are on cutting diets. Cals are a bit high but partial shake mixed with plain whey can fix that.

I just think that after a hard workout, your body's glycogen levels are depleted.... you need to quickly replenish with high-glycemic carbs and some protein... any fats will probably slow down your body's absorption of these crucial post-workout nutrients
 
hmmmm just bought the premixed chocolate, Vaniliia, Banana Cream and Cookies and Cream. I have never tried the orange cream or the caramel one though.

OMG I LOVE MUSCLE MILK! Im lean bulking right now so I use it in the morning cuz I wake up and shoot out the door. I bought some Splenda Ice Cream - 10g Sugar Alcohol and 1g Sugar. Which is equivalent of 3.5g Sugar/serving. Throw a serving in with extra whey, 2 cups milk and some digestive enzymes/glucorell-r and im out the door. VERY CONVENIENT - CHOCOLATE TASTES AMAZING!

Best ways to use Muscle Milk:
Before: Drink 30 minutes - two hours before your workout as you would a performance shake or smoothie.
During: Drink together with Cytomax to flood the body with growth nutrients and acid-buffering agents.
After: Drink within one-hour after workouts to encourage muscle synthesis during periods normally marked by breakdown.
Evening: One serving before bed helps make your sleep time more anabolic.
 
how often do u guys use it? What would your diet look like with it incorporated? Scoop here and there or as a meal?

You use it the same way you would use your regular Meal Replacement.

I don't know if you'll like the taste - everyone is different

My diet wouldn't look any different with it incorporated in it, cause it's just a M.R. - not a genie in a bottle

Do you ever just feel "crazy" and go out and TRY one of these "diets" that you inquire about?
 
I've been working out and dieting for almost 20yrs now.... Can't believe it's that long, but anyway..... I've tried ALOT of protein powders out there, and Muscle Milk is in the top 3 of ALL TIME BEST tasting..... Try it, you will see, it's great stuff.....

I use it now brainiac......1 scoop in my oats in the am, 2 preworkout and 2 pre bed.....you want to compare pics? You sure do talk a lot of shit Mr.Italian Stallion.....let me guess, your camera isnt working.....
 
it should last for a long time at room temp. also if you have a vitamin world close by they have a sell on the rtd mm just as cheap as mass nurtrition at this time. to bad they wont sell cytogainer at massnutritons price though.

cant stand the fruity flavors of anything....and if I'm getting MM, hell if I go with choc or vanilla......they got some killer looking flavors......

Yeah, they do have some awsome looking flavors..... I have only tried the chocolate and Stawberry..... Reason is, they taste so awsome, I figured why get another flavor? I'm the type that sticks with what he knows.... I did hear the Fruity flavors are really good though....

Had a pre-made muscle milk (chocolate) yesterday before class and it made me sick...like naseau sick....I love the way it tastes...but everytime i take one...just not good...
