I have been away for a little while so I want to first say hi to everyone and I hope everyone is doign great. I normally post or use to post on the AAS forum........ Very open question. I was wondering if anyone has any views or opinions on MSM and Cellular regen...???????

I just started using Glucosamine w/MSM for joint pain. It's only been a couple of weeks but I have noticed some relief.

I use all 3: MSM, glucosamine, and chondroitan. The MSM is supposed to work on greying hair according to a local anti-aging doctor in Houston, as well. Haven't seen any science on this, but I am taking it for my joints, cartilage, etc. anyway.

I listened to an incredible set of tapes about this supplememnt. It really didn't even speak much of it for joints. It talked mostly about the comination of MSM with Vit. C and its incredible healing affects for so many different things. Of course joints were mentioned, but on whole it was more about how the an imense amount of diseases are caused by lack of MSM, such as emphasiema. The main problem being in our life style today with all the preservatives and blah blah blah our diets seriously lack MSM. I don't know how many manufacturers of this supplemnt there are but this study seemed in no way related to any paticular comany. It all seemed very legite. Any one else hear of MSM used for anything besides joints? SOrry if my grammar and spelling are way off. I am runnign on minimum sleep right now.

The history of how MSM was discovered is interesting! Paper mills produce DMSO as a by product of paper. They found quickly that this stuff stunk bad! So some mills decided to get rid of this smelly solution by dumping it on back roads in the forest. Interestingly, scientists found that deer and elk were eating holes in the road where this stuff was being dumped to get as much of it as possible. Further research by the scientists found that the DMSO was great for healing and overall recovery of muscle fiber, joints, etc. The problem was that it stunk bad. Scientists then found the derivative Methyl-sulfonyl-methane (MSM) to be more beneficial and odorless! Study after study has shown MSM to be necessary in many Biochemical processes in the body and even in brain function! It is also great for skin, nails and hair. I use MSM daily and have found it to be a great all-around supplement especially when used with Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate. Studies have also shown MSM to help with muscle recovery after workouts and also toxin removal!

Wow, I thought I would've got more responses on this considering everything I have heard about it. Cougar, thanks fo rhte info. I will cotinue to use htis and research as I go along.

i take a glucosamine and chondroitin supplement that also has msm in it. it's just the house brand of a nutrition center i shop at. when i first ask about it 3 years ago the owner said "get this one, it has msm in it. a lot of people think it helps." i'm 51 years old and train in martial arts. my style has a lot of low stances that are hard on the knees. i can really tell the stuff works good. a lot of times when i run out i think my knees feel fine i don't need it anymore. 3 or 4 days later i always buy another bottle quick. it takes about 3 or 4 days to work and works about that long after you stop taking it. i also have heard that msm is good for you.

There is a lot of posting action with the steroids and chat boards. Info here is vital and interesting but not usually dangerous, sexy, funny or full of drama. :)

You asked a great question. k
