Moving to New Orleans

I might take my family there for Christmas this year.
What's a good Hotel?

Maybe Mardi Gras colours my perception. I'm sure lots of great food, bars, and music.

A place I'd love to visit but doesn't seem like a family destination to me.

It is a great city and we visit it often. I just could not imagine living there though. Living in a close by city is one thing when preparing for a storm, but trying to prepare and actually living there would definately be another. I will definately thinking about several friend of my that live there, and saying several prayers for them this weekend.

Forgot about hurricanes and the fact that NO is under sea level. Another little problem there. Make sure your friend lives on high ground(expensive ground).

I'm not going to lie at times like this it's hard to live in NOLA and these storms make you second guess you're decision to stay and live here!
