Movie on Powerlifting

I've been to two bench pressing competitions as a spectator. I used to use the thumbless grip when benching as it allowed me to handle more weight. Well, a guy was benching well over 400 pounds thumbless and the bar slipped and smashed him in the chest. As you would expect the small spotters could barely budge the weight and several people ran over to pull the weight off. The guy collasped and paramedics had to be called. He was ok but ever since that day...

I WILL NEVER USE A THUMBLESS GRIP AGAIN! EVER!

It really sucks to see that in person.

Yeah, I never understood that grip. Or the people that put their feet up on the bench. Seems to easy to lose balance.

going thumbless can center the weight over your wrist better. I have very slender wrists and I tend to use a thumbless when I hit the limits of my capabilities.
