I didn't have enough time this morning to post this, but when we were stationed in MD we lived in a haunted housing unit! When we had first moved to the area we heard about a tragic event that occured on the Naval Base about 6 months prior. A little four year old boy named, J.D., drowned in a pond when he was left unattended.
Well a while later we finally got the call to move into on-base housing. One night we were heading out to the store and we were shocked to see a bunch of people standing in front of our unit hold candles! A woman came up to me and informed me to take care of the rose bush out front because her and J.D. planted it! I didn't get it at first, but it hit me like a ton of bricks a bit later on and it explained the crazy shit that was happening in there! For instance...
I put my son to bed for the night, in his crib, and gave him his bottle of formula. Well I walked out of the room and headed down the hallway towards my room when Tyler started to cry. I got angry because he was at that age where he'd purposely drop the bottle out of the crib and make me go in retrieve it. Well when I walked in I was stunned to see that his bottle was completely disassembled and lined up perfectly along the baseboard of the opposite wall!!! The worst was that the formula was also dumped next to the wall as well!!! My son could hardly stand-up unattended so I know for a fact it couldn't be him! And it was a PLaytex bottle which (anyone with kids might know) is a VERY complex bottle to take apart! I mean it was unscrewed, the nipple was popped out of the ring, and the plastic insert was removed and lying next to the body! LINED UP PERFECTLY within 15-30 seconds!
The next was when Tyler was getting a bit older and he was in his room playing with a playground ball. He was banging his hands on the ball as I left the room and than I heard him say, "Boy...Ball...Boy." I immediately turned around just in time to see the ball SLOWLY rolling BACK to my son! He was on carpeting so even if he did push it into the wall or something it would have stopped before reaching Tyler again or it would have had to get back to him with greater force than what I saw! Needless to say I quickly picked up my son and went outside to play with the ball! LOL!
The last incident was when Bigmann was working late one night and my son was in bed. I was STUPIDLY watching a show called "Sightings." It was not unlike the show that was posted earlier on here. Anyway, I freaked myself out and didn't want to move off my couch. Well I had no choice but to do so when Tyler started to cry upstairs. I went up turning on every light along the way and lulled him back to sleep. I then decided to get dressed into my PJ's so I went into our walkin closet and turned on the overhead, pull-string light. I got changed and than STUPIDLY said out loud, "J.D. if your here give me a sign." At that VERY INSTANT the lightbulb blew out overhead!!! I FLEW back down the stairs and jumped back onto the couch and waited for hubby to come home.
And before anyone asks....military housing is VERY hard to come by so that was why we stayed there. We weren't about to ask to switch units because ours was haunted! I don't think Uncle Sam would have approved!
