More Newbie Questions!

Finally, a place that seems full of people who actually want to help each other out, despite their size, status, etc. Good stuff! I was hoping I could pick some brains and ask a few questions.

Back in 1998 I was 5'10" and weighed a whopping 138 lbs. Pretty sad for a guy, but I was thin my whole life. Despite working out hard I didn't gain much except a few pounds, and this was all my own fault due to shitty eating. I tried, but my appetite and willpower just plain sucked.

I started a new job working midnights, 5 days a week, and gradually stopped going to the gym due to frustration and depression (some of which I'm sure was caused by my new hours). The weird thing is I started putting the weight on. Slowly over the course of a year I put on 20 lbs. All of it fat, of course, but on my skinny body it just looked like I filled out. I finally had an ass!

In 2000 my wife and I moved to Toronto and I'm still working midnights but only 3 days a week. I weigh 166 lbs now, with a bit of a pot belly and a case of the dreaded man-boobs. I thought it was gyno from an 8-week cycle of Winstrol Depot I played with in '93 (when I was 130 lbs and desperate) coming back for revenge. I did catch a little bit - tender left nipple, a bit puffy - but it went away completely after a few months of being clean. I won't touch anything else since it's obvious my body reacts very sensitively to it. Besides, how could it come back after almost 7 years? And from Winny? (This cycle was 1-50ml amp every other day - a baby one to say the least)

There is nothing hard under the nipples, it just feels like fat. And I have a good handful on my waist, lower back, and belly, where all my fat seems to have accumulated. Quite simply, though I look good in a t-shirt, I am a horrible sight once it comes off.

I'm currently back in the gym, trying to lose bodyfat and put on some muscle, and my eating is much better. My metabolism must have flipped after working midnights since I can gain weight so much easier than before.

Question (finally!): Does anyone think that these man boobs will diminish once I lose the excess fat? I went from 138 to 166 without working out. There is no hard tissue formation so far. I can't take off my shirt in public because it's so embarassing, and I need to know if I should start saving for surgery or if this is just bodyfat.

Sorry for such a long post, just wanted to provide as much info as possible for an educated opinion.

Thanks!

i had my bitch tits removed about 10 years ago,i did mess with steroids and ended up with sore nipples.Since you are living in Ontario, Canada, you might want to have them removed for free..here in Quebec this surgery is free as long as its not for cosmetic reason (i told my doctor it was hurting really bad!! of course i lied..beside we pay so much taxes here..) in your case i dont think they will disapear overtime,by the way the surgery is a piece of cake!! takes about 30 minutes per side..you wear a kind of a bra for 2 weeks and then they remove the stitches and you are almost ready to go back to the gym..the scare is on the lower part of the nipple, barely visible...

Youll have to lose the fat in order to make a good assesment. Chances are high that its just fat. Something that could help too is post a pic of your gyno.

I think that man-boobs that are not a result of an AS are hard as hell to get rid of. If your body is inclined to store fat up there, it's as hard to lose it as it is to lose it from your gut.

I had that problem a few years back. I excercised and dieted for over a year. The tits got smaller, but still looked like tits. So I went and got the surgery and it was the best decision I'd ever made. It's been 7 years now and, a lot because I've kept lifting and eating right, I still look good in the chest area. I'll probably never have the chiseled chest and abs that a lot of these guys have, but that's how I'm built and I can live with that.

I know it seems like a big step, and it ain't cheap either. But worth every penny.

I'll move this to the anabolic board so they can give you imput.

My 2cents: Winstrol will not cause "man-boobs" i.e. gyno. It certainly has to do with your bf%, goto

check out my diet section and see if you see any diet fit, if not PM me, I'll be glad to set-up a diet for you.

I used to have natural gyno, caused by fat, when I was younger. I've never had a full blown gyno op, but I did get it liposuctioned and have never regretted it. My nipples were slightly inverted for a while but with time they have reformed to a normal state. In fact, the steroids have caused a little gyno which has worked to blow up the nipples, in my case, to their former glory without looking like breasts. If you are sensitive to gyno, then always take nolva/proviron or arimidex.

Thank you all for your input, I appreciate it. Mr X, I will definitely check out your diet info.

Back in '93, after my first cycle of the Winstrol Depot (from Zambon), I did develop a tiny bit of swelling and soreness in one nipple. It might have been fake (ie: testosterone, perhaps?) but the amps looked legit and the box had an insert, lot # stamped and not printed, etc. I actually took a look on the Pictures board and saw a similar box and amp of the winny I took back then. A friend took the same stuff and developed no side effects, just improved hardness and vascularity. After a few months all was back to normal.

I still have slight tenderness in one side, which I can't explain since I haven't even looked at an AS in several years. I'm wondering if this is an estrogen response to increased bodyfat, piss-poor diet, and the stress on my body from switching to midnight shift. It is also worth noting that my hairline began receding with some slight thinning around the same time of my weight gain. This could all be a metabolic shift due to reaching my late twenties, but believe me, i was a bone rack not too long ago.

Will diet down and get rid of the bodyfat, even if it means my t-shirts don't fit as snug anymore. It's sad, but after being thin for most of my life I want to hold on to my fullness even though I know it's just blubber. I don't look fat at all, but have what is commonly known as "skinny fat", those clumps of lovehandles and a lower back inner tube. And of course, a small pair of boobies.

If the tits are still there after my long-lost abs come thru, then I will probably start looking into surgery. But hopefully a new and improved eating plan along with some heavy lifting will burn those bastards off.

Thanks again for your input, everyone, you've been a great help.
