(a) even if he doesnt have them...i'm sure we will plant it. Can you imagine how bad the US Gov will look if we invade Saddam, and he has no nukes or Bio-Chem weapons?

(b) It is kind of naive to think that he does not have him. Its also wrong to blame him for having them. If your enemies had Nuc\Bio\Chem weapons....wouldnt you want them too to protect yourself?

Israel has Nuclear, Biological, & Chemical Weapons
Iran has Biological & Chemical Weapons
Syria has Bioligical & Chemical Weapons

After we supplied him with Bio\Chems....WHY WOULDNT SADDAM HAVE THEM TOO?

Its not necessarily a problem to have chemical weapons, but Iraq has a tendency to use them on their own people. We supplied Iraq with some advanced weaponry to defeat Iran, but we did not, I repeat did not supply him with Bio/Chem weapons.

ONLY???

ONLY 80?????

80 Soilders leaves behind 160 parents.. and God knows how many brothers, sisters, cousins, friends, grandparents... 80 is a HUGE number of dead people.

Again, this is war. I'm beginning to understand what people mean when they say 'americans are soft'. We want food that tastes good that doesn't make you fat, luxury cars that cost $5000, giant houses everyone can afford, and wars without casualties. None of that happens, or will happen. at least not for a while.

Besides. Perhaps this is assholish, but alot of americans die all the time from preventable causes. Diabetes, heart disease, some types of cancer, car accidents. Way more americans have died from car wrecks in the last 3 weeks than died in the war. What did their deaths accomplish? Did getting in a head on collision at an intersection help bring a better life to indigenous people or (maybe) help end US dependence on terrorism supporting nations?

You're wasting your breath. If Saddam Hussein walked into a clinic and had a blood test to verify his ID and then proceeded to fire a chemical weapon, on videotape, into a crowd of people, the "peaceniks" would still find a way to say it never happened.

I agree. We can lose 200 lives in an airplane crash. People are a little sad, but not many people have outrage or lose much sleep over it unless you're related to one of the dead. Plus they dided for no reason whatsoever. It was just a crash. But the peaceniks freak out about 80 US soldiers dieing in a war that, no matter what the reason is, has an end effect of making a country free. Its tragic, but the so-called peace activist, are pretty hypocritical.

Muscle geek...I'm a little shocked to hear you say that. There is overwhelming evidence that says that we supplied saddam hussein with many precurser agents used to make bio\chem weapons during that war. Aside from that...you are saying that he used them against the Kurds during the iran\iraq war....lets not forget that although the Kurds live in iraq...they are against his regime and side with iran. They are basically his enemies.

Do a yahoo search on Stephen Pelletiere - former CIA agent.
See what he has to say about the gassing of the Kurds.

80 (if they are telling the truth) is in addition to the hundreds maimed in some way or another...who lost arms, legs, etc... (and yes there have been many, have read testimony by a doctor in German hospital).

We'll have to see how it turns out... but in truth, I can't believe you guys would just shrug off them not finding significant WMD.

ALthough 80 is tragic....for a wartime situation, its really viewed as a success. I know that sounds cold and immoral, but think about it. We are not playing ring around the rosy here. We are at war with a country....

I wish we could do it with ZERO deaths.....ON BOTH SIDES! but unfourtunatly, thats impossible. People will die....i just hope we dont lose many more if urban conflict begins.
