This is interesting - in my experience, in every gym I've ever been a member of the girls NEVER talk to each other and usually go to a bathroom stall to change, or else they change really quickly facing the wall. That is except for these two 50-ish lesbians who would spend like 20 min in the handicap (built for 2 i guess) shower and just chat. Very strange, but whatever.

Regarding the guys, the stories I hear usually involve gay guys scoping the straight guys' buns & packages.

yep, that would be me. i avoid nudity at the gym at all costs and opt for the stall to change in.

maybe i'll resort to sarcasm the next time i witness unnecessary nakedness....something like screaming in horror "my eyes, my eyes!" as i shuffle past the naked hair dryers.

Okay I'm so glad this bugs other people, I thought I was just being uptight.

Obviously you are going to be naked sometime. But when you're sitting beside me, straddling a vinyl stool and blowdrying your hair, and you're STILL completely naked... that's a bit much. Gross. I put a towel down on the stools before I sit on them, and I'm fully dressed.

I too use the rapid fire face the locker and "quick, quick get those damn panties and bra on NOW" method of dressing.

I cant imagine being a guy and having to whip out my package in front of other men whenever I needed to pee. (but then having to hover over public toilets aint no fun either)

I think this sums it up...How lazy do you have to be to step into a stall to change? I think it has much to do with the way one was brought up, and the atmosphere at home.

Hah! glad I popped over here! This is a sore subject with me. My gym is full of exhibitionist! And like someone else said, they are usually the last ones you'd want to see naked. I've told this story on the C.B.before. I was in the locker room one time and a woman with a locker close to mine was bent over, totally nude, drying her feet. It was not a pretty site. I saw more of her than her gyn. prob. see's. i'm not a prude either but I try to be somewhat modest.

I've seen a woman naked, putting lotion on, with her tampon string hanging in plain sight. At least now I know the week she might have PMS and the week she'll probably be carrying extra tampons. lol

Whatever. I am ALL about people being comfortable with themselves and be accepting of their bodies. But that doesn't mean I need to see it.
