Mitch: How to improve MPG on Nissan Titan ?

LOL! Seriously though...There isn't much you can do to improve it. CAI/Exhaust may yield you a couple MPGs (doubtful) and that's if you can keep your foot out of it once you do it. Plus the amount of money you'll spend ($1000+) just to gain maybe 1MPG...well it's not really cost effective unless you just want that shit on your truck.

12000 Miles a Year average @17mpg=705gal of fuel

705gal of fuel @ $2.50/gal=$1762.50

12000 Miles a Year average @18mpg=667gal of fuel

667gal of fuel @ $2.50/gal=$1667.50

So it'd only take about 10 years for that to start paying off for you.

HTH

mitch is missing the most obvious answer...pull the nissan motor and install a chevy motor...viola...better mileage AND more HP...the install is bound to be a little pricey though, so you're gonna have to be patient while you wait for it to pay for itself

Never owned a truck? I've owned all three domestic and they're all gonna get about 15, 16 avg at best.

I've owned all three and dodge got 20 mpg, ford and Chevy 17

That was with cold air intakes and whatever he did to the exhaust but I guess that does nothing
