Mexican Citizenship and border crossing.

I'm a native Mexican but have been the US since I was a toddler so I have no accent and I have dual citizenship. My question is do you guys think I would be more likely to be searched crossing the border back into the US using my Mexican passport or using my American passport? Or do you think that would make any difference at all?

Thanks. :)

It is all a chance game... I don't think your ethnic background would matter when it comes to being searched. They search Hispanics and Whites alike... being a female however, would also lower the chances of them suspecting you carrying steroids. As long as you make it pass the Dogs that are sniffing for Narcotics, I think AS would be easy....
PS: Make sure to pick a good place to stash them.... No pun intended. This is where most of the mistakes are made.

I still want to know if you can declare personall supplies.

If you're a dual citizen, you are required to use your US passport when entering the US. It will just add to your problems if you're caught with anything, or even with nothing, not using your US docs...

Well the way they do it here in Texas is
First: You are checked by customs at the border....they are more concerned with drugs, fruit, animals etc.

Second: You go through an Immigration check which is a few miles into the U.S. They ask you if you are a US citizen and if you are carrying anyone else. They are concerned with immigration but last time I went they asked to check my trunk.

yes, but here you have to declare your citizenship (which is what the quesiton was about) at both. They may or may not check your ID if you say US.

what's up with your truck always getting checked? you must look guilty ;)

I will be crossing in Texax since that's where I'll be visiting the part of my family who's in the US. So the bottom line seems to be that I need to just use my US passport.

Thanks guys. :)
