I changed jobs recently, which required me to buy a whole new work wardrobe. I bought everything in one place, and didn't even realize what I was spending until I was done.
I wear a 17.5" 34/35 in shirts. I've noticed that in that size, some manufacturers include a LOT of extra material in the front, presumably because if your neck is that big, you're a fatass. Shirts that don't have an assload of extra material are nice.
I usually wear a 34/34 pant, (I'm 6') but my slacks are always tailored to some extent.
A lot of the time, I drag spatts along with me...she's my fashion advisor, but having someone in the store with a good eye for colors is good too.
Also, this may not be a high-fashion thing, but no-iron dress shirts are a godsend. I hate ironing.
