"The Man's" stance is there are other prescription medication options that are as effective in lowering intraocular pressure
Well mine has ran out, i'm told i have taken the max amount of med to lower the pressure
Yes it does Because i had absolutely zero issues when i was able to supplement my meds.
since mrplunkey loves making assumptions, I'll make some of my own.
I don't even know if he's tried marijuana, but if he has, I bet he had some sort of heavy indica and it made him lazy and unmotivated as fuck and he now assumes that it has the same effects on everyone. It was probably so powerful, like most first times are, it imprinted on his brain that this is some crazy strong drug that fucks your head up.
If that isn't the case, then he probably has had some direct experience with some lazy stoners, who as most non lazy stoners know, is not because of the weed, but because the person is just fucking lazy.
I smoked a fair amount in high school, ranging from really crappy stuff to fairly strong stuff.
It shouldn't take a rocket scientist to figure-out regular pot use impairs memory, cognitive skills and motivation. It's been well studied. I hop on Pubmed from time to time and post studies, then the pot foggots get all riled-up.
To me, denying pot's short-term and medium term effects is just as silly as those people who believe Adam and Eve were riding their pet dinosaurs around 6,000 years ago when they were formed from dirt.
Now if someone wants to argue that it's their right to do that to themselves, then that's more legitimate. And the day I'm guaranteed that I don't have to pay for somebody who wants to sit on their mom's couch and play xbox stoned instead of work, I'll agree with them.

I've actually studied marijuana's effects in a University setting.
There isn't conclusive evidence on "a-motivational syndrome" which is what I assume you are calling impaired motivation.
There is not evidence that it impairs "cognitive skills" in fact, it actually enhances many cognitive functions.
There is some evidence that there are short term memory effects while high, but they are not nearly as strong as those you get from natural sleep inertia, and great deal of other naturally occurring mental states, foods, drugs, conditions, etc.
And on top of all that, it does affect people consistently. You know how many drugs say "this drug can cause.." and there are dozens of effects? Most of them NEVER felt by any users. This holds true for many effects of marijuana. Different people simply experience its effects differently and in varying degrees of strength. Your one size fits all approach to pot fogginess seems intentionally shortsighted and naive.

No, I am not that important or experienced, but the professor who taught me was amazing and very well versed in all manner of drugs.did you write a paper on it?

no one is denying the effects *while you're high*.
the thing that gets people riled up is the way you demonize it yet have no problem with alcohol and often talk about the benefits of using MUCH harder drugs whether medically or recreationally.
the whole alcohol vs marijuana thing and the ridiculous off the wall hypothetical scenarios you used was why nearly everyone on the board disagrees with you on this subject and can see your over the top hatred/possible agenda when it comes to pot
on top of that the whole basis for your argument was a subjective view on productivity/mediocrity/type a personality mentality, which is merely projecting what you believe people/society should be like as a whole. And that has nothing to do with pot.
You repeatedly bring up the short term effects of pot, which most people are aware (why not bring up the negative short term effects of caffeine or acetaminophen while we're at it?) , yet basically ignore the LONG term effects and physically addictive qualities of other drugs that are the being used as the basis for comparison and much more damaging to the individual consuming it and society as a whole.
DELUSIONAL^^^^^^^^^^
Biggest $$$$$ keeping pot from being Legal
1)Tobacco companies
2)Alcohol
3)Big Pharm
draw your own conclusions
a.k.a. "Tha Man", correct?
yes sir..correct
Please post one peer-reviewed, purely scientific article that demonstrates pot enhancing cognitive skills.
I'm fogged up in Las Vegas now and will have to get back to you.
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!
Especially if all cognition of events gets lost in teh fog.
just sayin'
Cool!
If the study is convincing enough, I'll even smoke myself before I'm in a situation where I need heightened cognitive skills!
BTW some of my Best Art work is produced when i'm high!![]()

Do you do cognitive art?????
You should try 5-axis Fogg processing rob, bet you could produce high cognition art pieces at a 400% higher efficiency level
I'm sure pot and industrial equipment go great together!
Lestat can prolly find me a study on that too.
I just blazed up so much I was able to cure cancer.
