Mcdonalds----bulking----ala questions

Increasing Insulin sensitivity and increasing insulin levels are 2 totally DIFFERENT things! Actually, increasing insulin sensitivity will decrease the amount of insulin necessary to infuse carbs/protein into cells. So this would NOT make ALA more suitable for bulking. I am sure someone will chme and and argue that their muscles feel "fuller" on ALA and therefore it's great for bulking. Wrong! This is simply a possitive cosmetic side-effect of ALA.

And before Ulter chimes in-------I love ALA, I just want people to realize it does not work to increase insulin levels.

It's still good while bulking however because you tend to store more carbs in muscle cells vs fat cells!
 
By the way Georgie-----to answer your ORIGINAL Question: I think ALA is great when going to such places. There are so many hidden carbs in fast foods (and fats) that ALA will help to inhibit lipogenetic pathways whlile all these extra calories are being consumed.

Georgie- Use the ALA for sure but PLEASE try to stay away from
the fast food. There are SO many other nutrient dense foods
you can consider when bulking. There is just NO WAY anybody
can justify eating trans fat for ANY reason. Eat a couple of
chicken parm heroes or something. Funny thing your talking
about skipping the mayo and ketchup. Like that's gonna help.

We only live once.. at least enjoy it while you can.

Look at it this way.. pros do it.. So why can't WE? ;)
 
Subway is a good way to go... fully loaded chick breast... with mayo, mustard and BBQ sauce... MMMMmmMmmMmmm...

I dunno I worked at McDs for a bit when I was younger, and there patties aren't all that great... If you are going, eat the chick, not the beef...

So your saying s-ALA...which makes up 50% of racemic ALA....does not raise insulin levels...

..do you have any research to back that up....?

..because I'm under the impression the opposite is true..
