maxed out on bench, messed shoulder

i maxed out on bench today and got up 10 pounds more than my previous max a couple weeks ago. i felt good but now my shoulder kills, i've had shoulders problems in the past so i'm used to shoulder pain, but this time it's different. when i take a deep breath in it hurts real bad like it's tightening. weird. anyone ever have similar problems???
 
Probably a strain..If i bench and weight shifts abit the wrong way my shoulder is out for the count too.Ice it and dont use it for 3 to 4 days..I know it seems like forever doesnt it..lol. Biceps will usally make your shoulder worse too,so good to stay away from them or do them lite.Breathing and feels pain? I got that now and have had it a few times but its in my back area.Takes like 5 to 6 days to heal when its strained bad.Feels like i am geting stabbed when i breath or coughing is worse..Since it was flat bench you might not have hurt it as bad.Incline will really trash a shoulder when you hurt it.I was out for 3 years because of shoulder,nothing to play around with ifs its strained or hurt, rest it 4 days is better then 4 months or years.
 
yeah...... i hate rest!!! sometimes i might give her a week off and then the next week it's awesome.

bro, not sure exactly what your prob is, but i tore my pec-delt tendon 6 weeks ago. if u can still lift in prob is just strained. if u tore it u wouls know it. wuldn't hurt to hit your dr up 4 a mri- as there is a window of repairability with a complete tear. my .02
