If gracie was smart he would have worked on his stand up. His punches look weaker than any I've seen in MMA, but shit he makes up for it on the ground.

I dunno, gracie was champ when nobody understood how to fight on the ground via his Jiu jitsu style. EVERYONE knows all his moves now and Matt is clearly stronger, more powerful, and has a striking game that Gracie likely lacks.

I would have to see it to bieleve it. But the heavyweight division is VERY weak. Alovski I think has A LOT of potiential bu needs work. Sylvia........... he shitty but has size and that all they have. To bad youll never see a Pride vs. UFC...

Yes we have seen this, and the UFC ends up getting schooled.


Check this video out. In the beginign the current UFC champ Chuck Lidell gets schooled ON HIS FEET by Quinto Jackson from Pride. Ofcourse Quinto is not the best in Pride so he goes on to get wrecked by Wanderle.

Good points. And when it comes to fighting you cant base one performance on a carrer. Anyone can get lucky or catch someone right. Not saying tha Chuck did not get his ass raped. Quite funny. BUT. The rules in UFC are different and they might effect the fight as well.

Chuck is a good fighter, one of the best guys in the world. But there are at least 4 guys in his weight class who can beat him in Pride. He is the champ in the UFC, but would be considered just a "good fighter" in Pride.
