Agreed... and not just for competition. I'm too old for that but I toke at night to relax. I would not toke before workout as it would take away my focus, drive, and aggression. I don't drink or do any other recreational drugs ( other than supps and cycle). I train hard in gym and dojo as well as am part owner of a technology consulting business. Two tokes at night when the day is over lets everything settle down and slide away so I can relax and sleep.
 
I do it at times before a workout, it can go either way, most times Im more focused, other times it ruins the workout. I do it every night like most people here have said to calm down and get a good nights sleep

i personally think it kills motivation. i kdo know some top level athletes who swear by it claiming, intense workouts after useage, improved sleep and appetite. i still think it hinders instead of helps honestly.
 
Agree back in the day i used to toke-up before my workouts, these dayz i rarely smoke..........but i do keep a small sack for special occasions....it has definite medicinal uses
 
I honestly think it depends on what kind of bud you've got... some can just knock you down, other types can seem to give you more of an energy buzz... but still it comes down to how much you smoke and how your body reacts... I personally don't prefer it before training these days (actually haven't even smoked in I can't remmeber how long!! no pun)... but before training it seems to take some of my energy/motivation... that is to say directly before training... but after it's all good!! if earlier in the day I would just grab a quick nap a couple hours before I go train.
 
If I did it it would be after my workout cause I would be to lazy to even lift the weight. I have to get pumped before my workouts and weed would totally bring me down..

Problem is pot raises your estro. So if your anywhere near your show..i wouldnt do it.

A few hits during bulking season to keep the appitite up...I am totally down for!
