Well, I'm a computer idiot, too, so I usually don't think along those lines.

I picked up an abstract intro to programming languages text for this semester, so gimmie a while to catch up...

I just have had bad bad experiences with my past computers. I feel as if I am turning over a new leaf. Dell hates me.

I assumed you were being facetious. PC refers to the IBM architecture used by every computer manufacturer but Apple. It used to be that the term PC was synonymous with Micosoft software and Intel hardware, but not so anymore.

The Apple slam on PC's has always been the shortcomings of the "wintel" products, and Apple is still pushing that even in their new ad campaign (Hello I'm a Mac, and I'm a PC), even though there really isnt a Wintel monopoly anymore. On my own PC I dont use an Intel processor, I havent used any form of Windows as my OS in years, and I dont use IE, and that's not unusual anymore.

Cool. What OS are you running?

We have one Ubuntu machine running here but all our others are Windows.

lmao rottenwillow, way to go against the grain. I'm posting from a CD based operating system called miniPE2-XT running opera using pdf viewer to look at acrobat files.

Besides, since apple uses intel stuff anyways... the only thing left to rip on is the shittiness of every mac OS ever created.

LOL. Yeah - that was the reason I did some heavy duty research into the Apple computers and what not... so my porn searching would be a breeze. LOL. Nah - but really, I love my apple and it has given me no grief and I don't even have a virus protection program on here. It's been great for all my research papers (backing them up and what not), internet, everything. :)

Cuteness? You mean the computer? LOL. Please - I buy a laptop based on how useful it will be, for me. I don't care about looks. I'm not Paris Hilton. LOL.
