Major fail in my opinion if Windows 7 can't change this

advice, windows 7, make sure it's 64-BIT. you will thank me in 2 years.

c

I got Ultimate so yeah it's good for both 32 and 64 bit. I'm prepared lol.

I got permission to install Windows 7 on my PC at work. I am running XP right now. Think I should do it?
I don't have windows 7, but my advice is no. why do you need it? if you have XP, it's an older computer and it will run fine how it is. a fresh install of windows 7 isn't needed.

correct me if i'm wrong.

This statement sounds like you have no IT support department to fall back on when stuff doesn't start working.

I work for a huge firm and we are just now migrating to exchange 2007 and by 4th quarter 2010 or 1st of 2011 we will be moving to Windows 7. With that said, we have had about 2 or more years of testing via MSDN on TEST and QUAL boxes with the 5000 or so applications we use and support to ensure compatibility or get justification to upgrade to a compatible version before the roll-out.

You don't want to go out and arbitrarily upgrade your XP work desktop to Windows 7 without ensuring compatibility and stability unless you would like a small nightmare.

Truly a double edged sword lol. Also, I tried capturing .bmp images in fraps with Windows 7 and it does save them as full resolution, so it has to be something with that TotalMedia Theatre program in combination with 7 that is downscaling .bmp images. Anyways VLC works better, even if the file size is a fraction smaller. The difference between a .bmp image and the same one converted to .png is indecipherable even with the latter being a couple MB smaller in size, so it's past the point of splitting hairs lol.

No, but I am going to pick-up one of the 3G models on the 30th.

:)

But as soon as you do that they'll come out with a 4G one, rendering the 3G near-obsolete.
