I agree with pitbull. I moved almost 4 years ago from New York to get away from the negativity, drama, and this fucked up person I allowed into my life. Anyway, one of the top 5 greatest decisions I've made in my life so far.

well im currently working on my resume and the only thing keeping me here is I have a pretty good job , if i can find something almost as good i would move tommorrow...my only pre-requisite , is its not in the middle of nowhere and its warm year around (im tired of these northeast winters)...thats it.

With regard to salaries . . it's about the same as the NYC area. Rent is about the same, however, you get more for your money. After 4.5 years in Syracuse and living most of life in NYC, I wanted to go someplace milder too. But still had a decent nightlife. I live in Northern VA (15 min - outside of D.C.), it isn't the middle of nowhere and the winters are mild in comparison to the northeast.

deciding to stop drinking , partying, and all the other nasty irresponsilbe things I do. I changed my phone numbers, only family and a best friend or 2 can contact me now..i was getting out of control and for someone like me who has self-control issues, my only way to make a change is to completely cut off everything and everyone that is negative from my life...i gotta get back on track.
