i have not followed it but i was going to pose a question to saints and football fans about rickey williams...

they made a big deal about his depression... what fucking right does ANYONE have to know about his personal life? why was this not kept quiet? did he come out and say things about it or did some media guy come out and share the details about someone elses life?

i am guessing a problem funding a new stadium?

until i hear otherwise i will say this... new orleans gets teh super bowl regularly, this year too, correct? they also get college bowl games... their has to be a major company that will invest major cash into a name on the stadium....

since i am not from the area, this is as much as i know... i dont see how teams like the patriots, or bengals, or any other lesser followed, poor selling (items) teams can make it and N.O. cannot... detroit has a GREAT stadium getting ready for next year (ya, a dome sucks but still) and they have not produced a winner either... but they do have ford backing them and that helps pay for a stadium.

RICKY CAME OUT AND SAID IT. HE WANTS TO MAKE THINGS BETTER WITH THE TEAM AND PUBLIC.

OWNER SITUATION: IN THE LAST FEW YEARS HE HAS RAISED TICKET PRICES A COUPLE OF TIMES. HE HAS SAID IF HE DONT GET A NEW STADIUM HE WILL MOVE THE TEAM. EVERY TIME THEY GO TO THE NEGOTIATION TABLE, THE TALKS BREAK DOWN.

I THINK HE WANTS TO MOVE THE TEAM AND WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY PROPOSAL FROM THE STATE TO KEEP THE TEAM. HE IS IN ONE OF THE LAST TV MARKETS IN THE LEAGUE AND DOES NOT MAKE AS MUCH MONEY AS OTHER TEAMS. I THINK WE ARE IN THE LATER 20'S AS FOR AS TV MARKET IN THE 31(?) TEAMS.

HE IS PULLING AN ART MODEL!!! DOING EXACTLY WHAT HE DID WITH THE BROWNS.

PERSONALLY I HOPE THEY MOVE. THEY WILL BE BETTER OFF ELSEWHERE AND WILL MORE THAN LIKELY, WIN.

as for ricky... he is safe there... i think the saints played it smart in the thought that IF he gets hurt they will not be using fred fucking weary or someone... they will have a real back to back up... plus, now he doesnt have to be a one man gang back there... go two backs and you can actually fake a pitch one way and go to duece the other... the screen plays can be set up for duece and reduce wear and tear on rick... oh, and the fact they can run the ball here adn there with him on the side is nice... before it was... "is rick in there"? if yes, run, if no pass...


duece is a good pick up.. but i still dont think the qb situation is good... neither guy is a GOOD starter, both could likely get the job done... i liked blake in cinci cuz he was fun... i loved he and scott hookin up deep..

thats one thing i dont understand about their draft... or FA going afters... that quinn fuck from jacksonville DESTROYED the world league.. i am not sure if he is signed with the jags or not still, but man their are people like that in the league... talk to someone about a ty detmer or a guy that has led a team somewhere sometime... well, IF they moved... n.o. would be bidding on a franchise in 2 years... which is stupid... if a city loses a team because of any reason whatsoever they should have to wait 10 years to get another team... how does houston get another team??? the last 2 years attendance was HORRIBLE!!!! then the year before they split town it was just empty in the house of pain!!! if your community cannot support a team do not give them another one for 10 years... like baltimore...

but moving alone wouldnt make them win... i think they need to do some drafting and FA signing... spend a little cash, maybe even change up the uniforms a little more to get sales kick started for revenue.
