Lump under injection site!?

3 days ago I injected 2ml of test e, well into my thigh. Immediately I had a lump under my skin. It's still there today. I'm conscerned that the test somehow got pushed back up and isn't in the muscle. Should I be worried?? Anyone had experience with this kinda thing??

Dont worry bro, happens here and there. If it hasn't went down in size in about 4 days, and is warm to the touch.....get it checked out.

No, that shit shouldnt happen. You need to go to the doctor and get it checked out. They are only there for your help so not going would be stupid. If its really sore and red, its an abcess or infection. Were you sterile with ur injection. If not that could be why. Also i wouldnt be injecting in your thigh, bad site for injection. What kind of test was it?

3 days is to soon to say if you have an abscess. Do whatch it to see if it lasts for a week or more and gets warm to the touch. I had one several years ago. Quads are not a bad place to inject, just need to do it right like anyplace.

Be honest with you this happens to me almost every injection. Sometimes is not so bad and sometimes it really sucks, it really helps me if i take a hot bath and rub it for awhile, it might hurt a little but it will get it all worked in. Just me 2 cents

MAke sure you inject slowly as well. Pumping in 2cc fast will give you that.

Put some moist heat on it and baby it for a couple of days. If it is still there, have it checked by a doctor.

This is usually a rare occurance. I just had it happen for the first time in a year shooting 2.5 cc's of deca. Looked like a golf ball that was red and was a little hot. Having been shooting for a long time I know when something is wrong. Mine has gone almost totally away. Usually if you hit a nerve or blood vessel this can happen or traveling of the oil to sub-q area can cause it too. No big deal. Don't waste your money on a doc.

If it is just a hard lummp massage it and warm compresses and youll be fine. Don't need to jump off to the MD just yet. The thigh is perfectly fine for injecting and so is the delt. we do it all the time at work on oil based solutions and aqueous based solutions.

Yeah some of it might not be deep into the muscle. Be sure to massage the site after injection to get the drug moving. If its really painful, hot to the touch or u r running a fever go to the Dr.

I had the same problem with some home brew of mine a while back. After a week when I noticed it wouldn't go down I just stuck a needle in 5 or 6 times and just sucked it out through the needle. I wouldn't recommend that to the fainthearted though - have it checked out by a doc - tell him you shoot b12 for energy.

thanks for all the feedback!! its a bit red and sore...I feel like I might be getting a bit feverish. If I'm not all good by tommorow I'm headed to the doc. It's definantly spread out instead of like a golfball, but it still feels like its not absorbing. I'm thinking about sticking a needle into my leg and sucking the shit out.

If you already have a fever - then go the doc or suck it out - that means your body has an infection and it's trying to fight it off. If you do the needle trick just stick it in where you feel the lump and asparate as soon as the needle is in - hold it back and press the needle further in until you hopefully hit the pocket - if you don't then take it out and do it again. I had to do this like 10 times. Good luck

Dont I&D the lump yourself. thats just dumb. If you think it is infected now try poking it. Take some tylenol and motrin for your fever. Check to see if you have a fever first. AS can cause you to have hot flashes. Dont jump the gun yet. If you have a fever of 99.5 or less then stick it out if it is great then maybe you should go to the DR. take motrin and tylenol for your fever.

If u do go to the doc, tell him the truth about the steroid injection because a) the doctor will be able to tell it is not b-12 soon after lancing it and b) if the dr. believes it is just b-12 he may feel u have a more significant condition like a blood disorder since B-12 wont abcess unless the needle is dirty or u have a more serious illness like immune diff.

U could successfully draw it out yourself if it is not a serious condition but keep the sticks to a minimum to avoid infection and use a very thick needle like 18 or 20 g as the puss will most likely cause a smaller needle to clog resulting in numerous sticks
