Low Testoterone Levels

hey guys i have been suffering from xtreme tiredness, depression and anxiety for the last year, i have been on alot of different antidepressants with no results i finally decided to have a testosterone test to see if it can be low. its been 1.5 years since my last cycle . i am 36 years old and my test levels are way lowtotal test = 165,free test =49,sex hormone binding globulin = 9, and my prolactin levels were low also 1.9. my question to you guys is could this be causing my symtoms and if so do i need to go on test replacement thearpy. either way i have an appointment to see a urologist. any feedback would be appreciated thanks j

I am not a dr by any means but I would have to say yes you should go on it. I am on it my self and those were close to what my levels were. First they gave me that nasty creame but I made them switch me to injections.

absolutely. . .i'm not a doc but i honestly believe that most guys over 35 that are on an ssri and/or an anti-depressant could probably throw their meds away if they were on 200mg of t-est e each week. . .

hey thanks guys i went to my urologist today and he put me on testim its a test creame i dont have insurance and found out it was 285.00 for one weeks worth. but my docter was cool and gave me 4 sample boxes i have my fingers crossed hope it works thanks bguys

see if he'll put you on injectible t-est enanthat-e. . .it's MMMMMUUUUUCCCCCHHHH cheaper and works ten times better. . .200mg each week will do a body good

also, if you actually have a problem (i.e., your natural t-est is chronically low), a couple weeks worth of treatment is only going to make you feel better for a couple of weeks. . .as soon as you stop, you'll be tired, grumpy and have no libido again. . .hormone replacement is something that you do continuously. . .

Yes I agree get the injects about 90 bucks a bottle is what I pay. That is 10 weeks worth.

Thats the way to go bro. Without insurance though it can get pretty pricey. My Dr. started me on the androgel and, I used it for 2-3 months. I told him it was to big of a pain in the ass to put on every time I got out of the shower and that my wife was concerned about it rubbing off onto her, which is a legit concern. I personally know my Doc and he asked me if I would rather switch to injections. I said absolutely and he wrote me the script. Now usually they will just have you come to their office every 3-4 weeks and they will give you the shot. My Doc just lets me do it myself. The dose they usually perscribe is around 200-400mg a month unless you are just totally shutdown. I use 300mg every 3 weeks. My situation works nicely, my script is for test cyp, I get a 10cc bottle and, he generally gives me about 10 refills on each one. With my insurance I pay a $10 copay for each bottle. The way I got my scritp was to alter my labs myself. Rather than going into my PCT after a cycle I deliberately scipped it. This caused my normal levels to stay low so the rest is history. HRT will definately help you with depression and the other symptoms you are describing. I hope everything works out for you. Let me know if you have any questions.

I'm in the same situation Lat.. I wasn't able to do a solid PCT and went to the endo and he prescribed me test depo... the prob is I'm only 26 so i'm unsure what to do

before i ever cycled anything i had some baseline bloodwork done and my levels were in range but not fantastic.. my test was 324 and the range is 250-750... this was when i was 22-23

does anyone know if a solid PCT can bring you up to levels higher than what you normally were in the beginning? cuz if i'm just going to be stuck in the low 300's i might as well try something

he wants me to start at 100mg EW
