low carb fad

does anyone here do this "no carb or low carb thing"

is it a good thing to do if you are an athlete or train with weights ?

someone said that eating fatty foods does not make you fat it is the carbs and sugars that do it..... is this true ?

and if you have high cholesterol , you can eat all the high cholesterol foods and stilll have high cholesterol because it is the carbs and sugars that are keeping your cholesterol levels high...... is this true ?

and can someone make some good suggestions for low carb meals at like wendy's or some other restaurants ?

There always has and always will be diet fads. Just an excuse for being undisclipined. THose diets are often harmful and impossible to maintain. Take in less calories than you burn and you lose weight, more and you gain weight. It's a real simple formula. There are no fat persons in concentration camps. Just eat a well balanced diet following the food pyramid scheme. And if you eat too much fat, you're playing Russian roulette with your health. It clogs the pipes. It even begins at the age of 2.
 
First, you get fat by eating more calories than you burn off. Doesn't matter if it's carbs or fat.

Second, I wouldn't recommend ANYTHING from any fast-food chain. It's like going to a drug dealers house for aspirin.
 
I think you should stick around the diet forum for a bit so you can learn a thing or two about nutrition. This will help solve any diet riddles currently in your head and will also let you decide what are the "good" foods to eat at fast food retaurants.
