LOW carb diet and Muscle loss.

Tomorrow I am starting a Low carb diet. 20 grams or less 6 days a week and 1 carb up day. What gear (if any) would be good to use to limit any muscle loss. Not concerned with gaining right now. Just want to shred off the Body Fat while not losing any current muscle. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
Test...you'll have to keep the androgens high to save LBM. I will also advise you not to drop your cals off the face of the earth in 1 day. Take it slower.
 
anavar, winny, primobolan, and some sort of test will help the fat loss muscle maintenance ratio. I agree, your carbs will force your body to look for alternate energy sources by the third day, so days four through six, you WILL lose muscle too.
 
i trid a low carb diet but kept it at around 80g a day, not 20g... that worked good for me and I was on no anabolics... I definitely got shredded after 3 weeks and lost about 10lbs of mostly fat... i didn't lose much strength either.. in fact, I think I was able to gain some on some of my lifts.. strange I know, but it worked out for me like that..

For some reason low carb diets have gotten a bad rap on this board.

But Frankly, anything That Duchiane advocated gets a VERY high mark in my book.

You MUST go LOW on carbs in order to get into Ketosis and be truly effective at rapidly buring fat. LOW means less than like 40, 30, even 20 G for most people per day.

Done correctly you will lose less lean mass for a given caloric deficit on a keto diet than you will on any other. Period.

Maybe using AS can change that fact, maybe not, I don't know.

"BodyOpus" by Duchaine and "The Ketogenic Diet" by MacDonald are great refernces.

Yes, you will have low energy during that latter part of the low-carb part of the week. You must change you training accordingly.
