Lost arts

what excersices u bros think are lost arts? like which basic ones u think ppl ignore nowadays(im only 21 btw)
i think its old fashoned pull ups and alot of ppl go pussy on legs...barring injury i dont see how anyone could not do squats
 
i only know of 1 person aside myself who does pullups, and i rarely see anyone do dips! ugh stupid people

You're right on with the pull ups. I see only a handful of guys doing them, and they're usually some of the more well-built guys in the entire gym. Definately deadlifts, military and believe it or not, squats!

As for your leg comment, it all goes back to the annoying site of guys w/big upper bodies and chicken legs. It's like "MAN, WORK YOUR FRIGGIN' LEGS DUMBASS! If you dedicated as much time to your legs as your upper body, you'd actually look good." To them, ignorance is bliss I suppose. Problem is, they actually THINK they look good. :FRlol: :FRlol: :FRlol:
 
WOW there are a lot of people at my gym who dont do ANY good basic exercises... pullups, dips, deadlifts, bentover rows, standing barbell curls, lying ez-bar ext., behind neck presses, hang cleans, clean and presses... I could go on forever. :(
 
I rarely see anyone

Snatching
Cleaning
Standing Military
Push Press
Straight bar curls (at least not done correctly)
and believe it or not close grip benches

Another thing I have noticed, is a ton of people at my gym now use those therapy bands to workout with. Has anyone else seen this at there gym?
 
Last week this average looking guy finds the waist belt with the chain somewhere in a dusty closet at the Y.
He proceeds to chain on a 45 plate and is doing pullups and Dips with that shit strapped on. I was duly impressed when another 25 plate went on for the 3rd set.
 
snatches jerks, one leg squats, push presses, cleans, close grip bench, reverse grip bench, jump squats,
basically anything that actually maes u stronger and is hard to do, that doenst involve ur chest

nobody squats anymore,or they do half squats in the fuckin smith machine.deadlifts are another....:confused:

deadlift, weighted chins and dips, push-press, squat press, and believe it or not i can't remember the last time i saw someone else doing behind the neck press. everyone at my gym loves the cables and hammer strength equipment
 
Oh!, I saw a dude this morning doing on of those Ab Roller things across the floor. Some big guy came over and tried it and almost died after 15 or so.
 
THe Deadlift, hardly ever see anyone doing them. Weighted dips and chins are common at my gym. And those am roller things are for the same pussies that buy bow flex. That shit sucks.
