Losing weight while keeping strength?

Hello,

I was curious as to peoples methods for losing weight while keeping(gaining) strength? Is this even possible? I have a bench contest in about 1.5 months, and wanted to lose as much weight as possible without sacrificing my strength.

Your suggestions are appreciated!!
 
Try to lose AS SLOW as possible like maybe 1 pound a week. Keep lifting heavy. DOnt know what the contest is, but the heavy weight will keep your strength overall. I made a mistake of going "light" 12-15 reps and lost ALOT of strentgh with the weight one summer.
