A good training program consisting of compound movements...

I'm looking to keep muscle while getting lean...

anyone have any good programs in their back pocket

If you want all compound movements check out the 5x5 routine.
 
Is that the best routine to get chizzled up

I'm gonna run a cycle and clean up my carbs

is the 5X5 the best solution?

Ya I third that. I just switched to doing Nelson's routines mentioned in that book in place of mine and I have to say I have never been this sore since I first started. This week I had to switch from a 5 day split to a 3 day because I was just too friggin sore and I need the extra rest days now.
 
Yep. He has specific programs you can follow for each muscle group. I basically replaced all of my routines with his and I've seen a huge difference. So big of a difference that, like I said, I had to switch to 3 days a week instead of 5 because I get so sore now.

The best solution for getting "chizzled up" is in your diet...not your program.
