Long shot but... (doctor check)

Godspeed

anyone ever visit an orthopedic surgeon out of Atlanta, GA named Dr. Duncan Wells? I need to get surgery done for exertional compartment syndrome in my lower legs and I went to him because of my insurance. He seems like an alright guy, i'm not sure though i've never had that much experience with doctors. I guess i'm just a little nervous about getting surgery so i want to check up as much as i can before its too late.

i've seen a handful of doctors about my compartment syndrome and there's no doubt that's what i have and i need surgery but i dont want this dr. wells guy to cut me up and go "oops" and i come to find out he's a total quack or something.

Is he planning to do fasciotomies? Those leave nasty scars, but are necessary for compartment syndrome.

You can get info on healthgrades.com. Most physician info is on there.

Ya he'll be doing fasciotomies. I asked him if he was going to do a long incision down my lower leg and he said no. If i heard him correctly, i think he's going to make a small incision and cut the fascia using a borescope maybe and long cutters or something along those lines. i guess in my case its different from the more common trauma induced compartment syndrome cases where they would normally make the long incision
