You'll actually see Martial Law or a coup attempt here before it ever fully happens. There are too many old hardcore military leaders here in the U.S. who would lead a revolt before they ever allowed the Constitution here to be stomped on. These guys are diehard patriots.

One Nation, Under God, For Liberty and Justice for all. Some guys take that oath dead seriously.

The Bushies have tiny boners over trying to expand nationalism in Mexico. It started with NAFTA, expanded to financing Mexico's ability to finance PEMEX, and now has included integrated immigration rules.

On a side note, all my old crude contracts and MTN resales were done in USD until about four months ago. Now, we only deal in EUROs...at this pace, the US is on pace for serious financial issues.

Until it directly has an impact on them. I just saw our representative issue a public announcement on a TV commercial about their mortgage crisis and who they can call for help.

Though I think the whole secret pack is all bs - I like the concept.

The European Union has worked well and has not challenged, diluted, or destroyed anyones soveriegnty.

The fact is the US/Canada/Mexico economic union would work well. We desperately need and use their natural resources and labor. They need our markets and technologies.

This is all done without open borders and all that other crap. BTW - what happened to Lou Dobbs? He used to be a pretty legit business reporter. Now he is just a imagrant fear monger.

I think it's finally becoming clear. When a company like Merrill has to write off nearly $8 Billion in loans, even the most ignorant can see the light.
