People who don't look good are always trying to rationalise away the benefits of looking good. I get sick of the comment "it's only personality that counts".
This is such a crock. I get straight people say this, yet they never have sex with the same sex. I have gay people say this, yet they never date the opposite sex. If it is only personality that counts, not body, then this shouldn't be the case - they should date everyone. These same people won't date elderly men or women.
In fact they won't date a lot of people based on "personality" which they consider so important. This is worse because they are judging people. I'd rather be overlooked for being fat than overlooked because my personality is judged by someone as not being good enough.
