I'd think it's mostly because this "music" is being pushed the most, and young people will eat up whatever looks cool because they don't know any better. Image is pretty much everything these days. It may be smart for Lil Wayne to feed off of this to make himself rich, but it's pathetic what pop culture is digressing to no matter how you slice it. Too many shameless people around for this country to retain any sense of decency anymore.
