Might be a little much on your shoulders right before Wednesday man, give it a try. I tried Gracie style submission fighting/wrestling for a few weeks and it did not do me well. Cardio = fast paced walking for me or dragging lol.
 
haha, i started doing some cardio today. every tuesday im going to do some boxing, maybe in a few weeks ill spar a little bit. today i did the speed bag, the heavy bag, and i forget what the other ones called(it moves around alot and you have to concentrate to hit it). we worked at it for about 40 minutes, with 1 minute breaks every so often. it was alot of fun. never would of thought i liked punching stuff so much;)
 
Even Chuck backed off his boxing/toughman/fighting stuff, but I think if you keep it low intensity it could work out.
 
lol, well i got winded, but for as big i am i have decent endurance. except when walking up stairs. btw, my shoulders were pumped BIG time. this may help my bench out.
 
oh yeah, we didnt go balls out, just light punching(ok sometimes i got carried away lol) and mainly trying to keep moving around, i think my shoulders need the work. ill try it for a while and see how it works. anyhow when im 6 weeks from nationals i will cut it out till after the meet.

I am adding a running session, starting this week. It will be on Saturdays - same day as DE Lower - the only place I could fit it in.

Of late, I've just had my four weights workouts and one indoor soccer match each week, and I've lost a lot of conditioning as a result.

I will be doing various sprints and agility drills. Football specific too.
 
I have a double ended bag at home too. Key is not to cheat, put your front foot right at the base of it so when you hit it, it really hits back. Head movement really is key.
 
Just please don't run. I'm in PA, and I think an earthquake in Ohio would cause some serious damage over here, lol.
