I dont care how popular I am at my school. As long as I can go out with the girl I want to, I enjoy myself. I dont try and get people to like me, it is a waste of my time.

I'll tell you the one incident that hit me. Dale Earnhardt died. I was listening to this morning talk show and the whole time I was going to work they were whining and mourning his death. Right before I get to work the local news, traffic, comes on and they say there is a fatal wreck on Haywood lay, and if you are going that route find another because it will be backed up.
Here is a man that died doing what he loved and accepted the risk. Everyone is crying. Here is another man that dies and all they are worried about is him slowing down traffic.
Go figure?

Not really, I am happy if I have a hot sweet girlfirend. I dont care what anyonelse thinks of me. Even my guy friends, I dont really get along with them. Im not the type of person who just goes up to people I dont know, and trys to make friends with them. I really dont give a fuck about people I dont know. I have never tried to go out of my way to be frieds with anyone, unless it is a hot girl.

Just because you are popular, dosn't mean life is going to be "better" for you. More people that like you, also means more people that hate you most likely. Janet Jackson is "popular" and powerful, but she almost commited suicide, along with countless other people. In the end, all that matters is how you feel about yourself.

I agree....I was never a "follower", if anything I stray from the norm...I like the idea of being unique....most people my age don't share some of my views and I have no problem expressing my feelings among a group that I know may not agree with me...I've always been the type to "rebel"

"Stray from the norm"...that's a good thing though I think. I mean if you stop and think about it. NORMAL PEOPLE really arent that happy. Its the nonconformists....the ones that "live outside the box" that live life to the fullest. CARPE DIEM!!!

I think one day im gonna go around looking up all the popular kids that were thinking they're the shit when they were in high school and knocking on their doors and beating the living piss out of them. Then tell them they aint the shit...Im the shit as they lay in a puddle of blood consciously glaring up at me with a bewildered look .

Everything I do in my life is because I WANT to do it, not because I want to fit in. When you have this mindset, especially if you are doing things "differently" people ironically start following you.
I'm not a leader or a follower.
If people choose to follow me so be it.

Life should never be considered a popularity contest.
Life is so much more......
It's about making a difference in someone's life. Even if it's just
one person you make a difference to.
It's about having someone in your life that can make you smile with a simple "hello".
It's about being true to your values, and having a passion in
your life for those values.
Those are just a few things life should be about. None of which
involve life being a popularity contest.
Life is fun, passionate, and exciting.
If you live your life remembering that, then you will get so much more out of it, as opposed to thinking of it as a popularity contest,
or any other contest for that matter.
Life is so much more......
